For baseball parents

Know what you’re walking into before you join a team.

Tryout offers and team websites all say the same thing. The box scores do not. The Team Fit Report reads a full season of the team’s real games and tells you, in plain English, how playing time, innings, and positions actually get handed out, and what that means for your kid.

What’s inside

The things a team’s marketing page will never tell you.

A straight answer about playing time

Every plate appearance from the season, charted batter by batter. You see whether at-bats are genuinely shared or concentrated in a few hitters, and whether the lineup tightens when games matter.

The real path to the mound

Not how many kids pitched once. We chart innings by arm and tell you the shape of the staff: a fixed core that owns the mound, a genuine rotation, or real innings with a pecking order to climb.

Is your player's position even open?

Game by game, we map who held each field position and how often. If first base belongs to one player 85% of the season, you will know that before tryouts, not after.

Pitch Smart safety review

If your kid pitches, this matters most. We check every outing against USA Baseball's Pitch Smart guidelines: single-day pitch limits and required rest, flagged plainly when the data shows violations.

Does the lineup shrink when it matters?

We read every game's batting order: whether the team bats the whole roster or shortens to nine, and whether the same kids hold the top spots all season. That pattern tells you if it is a development lineup or a win-now lineup.

The questions to ask the coach

Every report ends with 8 to 12 specific questions built from this team's actual data and your stated priorities. Walk into the conversation knowing exactly what to probe.

Every chart is color-coded so you can read the verdict at a glance: red when an opportunity looks restricted, blue when it is there but contested, green when it is genuinely shared. And every report is private. Players on the team you are evaluating are identified by jersey number only; the only name in your report is your own player’s.
